Beijing Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy
As the Secondary Librarian I currently serves a bilingual student body, as well as local and foreign staff. My focus at this time is filling the shelves and building a library that will be well used and well loved, like a favorite book! I also facilitate cross-curricular learning and activities, and the implementation of literacy, information literacy, and media literacy skills across the secondary school, with an additional emphasis being added for grades 6-8, so that those students are ready to handle the forthcoming rigors of the high school curriculum. Currently, as Secondary Librarian, I work with teachers in implementing the different standards and curriculums in use at the school, which include the Chinese National Curriculum, Cambridge, AP, and IB DP.
